Engineering taught Ercan to anticipate where a system might fail. Fiction led him to a different question: what breaks first—the system, or the people who live within it and use it to find their way?

An industrial engineer and senior new product development engineer, Ercan brings the same discipline and careful planning that shape his professional work into his fiction. He builds layered worlds governed by their own rules, but structure is never the destination. At the center are people forced to face the consequences of the systems they live within.

He writes and publishes in both Turkish and English. Across different ages of Meleran, shared bodies, living houses, and diseases divided into classes, his stories bring myth, technology, memory, isolation, and human fragility together.

The life he shares with his wife and two children—with its love, joys, and challenges they face together—continually opens new doors in the way he sees the world. Every layer of that life inevitably finds its way into the worlds he writes.
